GROUP FAQS

Booking Fees

We charge a booking fee for all online transactions. This is a cost charged by external financial processors and goes directly to these third parties.

Refunds

S&J pre-paid bookings and tickets are non-refundable once purchased. Should you plans change, please let us know within 48 hours before your reservation time and we will do out best to accomodate with a date transfer or gift voucher.

Can guests aged under 18 attend the venue?

Guests under 18 are welcome at all our venues, with the exception of Caballitos, for seated restaurant bookings if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Underage guests will not be permitted access to our bar areas.
Underage guests are not permitted at Caballitos.

Reservations / No Show Policy

Every attempt will be made to contact a reservation if they are late for their booking, or for unattendance. If we have not received any form of notification and are unable to make contact via the contact details given at the time of booking, tables may be given away after 15 minutes of the original booking time. In the instance of a no show or cancellation within less than 24 hours, a $25 per person fee may be taken.


During exceptionally busy periods or exclusive events, reservations will be allocated set timeframes so demand can be met. This is noted on your booking confirmation email and we appreciate your cooperation during these times. 

Can I bring a cake?

All our venues welcome guests with celebration cakes.  A cake fee of $20 for bar booking applies, which includes cutting the cake along with providing cutlery, plates and napkins.

Can I bring decorations?

All our venues welcome guests with small decorations such as balloons. Please be mindful that casual group bookings are in shared spaces and decorations will need to be removed at the conclusion of your event.

Is there wheelchair access?

All of our venues are wheelchair accessible, with the exception of Varnish on King.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

All of our venues can cater for special dietary requirements – please make a note in your booking or inform the team when ordering.

Do I have to be on a set menu?

Restaurant bookings for groups of 8 or more guests are required to select our chef’s choice menus.

Is there a DJ on weekends?

  • Spring has a DJ every Friday & Saturday from 8pm 
  • Caballitos has a DJ every Friday & Saturday from 8:30pm
  • CRUSH at Pirate Life Perth has a DJ every Saturday from 7pm
  • Hadiqa has a DJ every Saturday from 7pm

Spring

Why can’t I book online?

Bookings for our casual bar areas open 4-6 weeks in advance. If your booking date falls outside this range, we recommend checking back closer to your preferred booking date or submitting a request on our online reservation platform.
Restaurant bookings can be made 6 weeks in advance. 

CABALLITOS

Why can’t I book online?

Bookings can be made 60 days in advance. Small groups under 10 guests are welcome to join on a walk-in basis on the day.

CRUSH AT PIRATE LIFE PERTH

Why can’t I book online?

Bookings for our casual bar areas, CRUSH Club sessions open 3 weeks in advance. If your booking date falls outside this range, we recommend checking back closer to your preferred booking date or submitting a request on our online reservation platform.

Can I pay for my CRUSH Club ticket when I arrive?

Tickets for CRUSH Club and Snacks + Dacqs are available for purchase online up until 24 hours prior to the event, with no door sales available.

Can my friends and I pay for our CRUSH Club tickets individually?

For CRUSH Club Dine, it is recommended to pay for the whole table when making the booking, to ensure your guests are seated together. 

Some of my friends don’t drink – do they need a ticket for CRUSH Club?

Additional guests are more than welcome to join your group on a walk-in basis even if they are not participating in the ticketed event. Please note this will be dependent on available venue capacity.
